Welcome
A small rural parish on the
Essex / Suffolk border
Welcome to the Little Horkesley Parish Council Website

Little Horkesley is a small, rural parish, of only 170 souls, situated four miles to the North of Colchester on the southern bank of the Stour river.

A large part of the village is within the boundary of the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Beauty and enjoys stunning views across the Vale towards Nayland, Stoke by Nayland and, in the other direction, Wormingford.

Representing a rural parish, Little Horkesley Parish Council has a positive approach towards protecting and enhancing the countryside and, therefore, offer support to the Campaign to Protect Rural England, and the Dedham Vale Society.
