I'm sure that residents of Little Horkesley will have noticed the changes at the Bus Shelter.
The Parish Council are very grateful to the "Love Essex Fund" who very kindly gave a grant which has allowed us to renovate the bus shelter and start the "Book Swap" initiative.
Love Essex encourages businesses, organisations and individuals to reduce household waste in Essex.
With this in mind, the Parish Council bought and refurbished a pre-loved cupboard which has been placed in the bus shelter, and we encourage residents to swap books within the community rather than sending them to landfill.
It is great to see that there is already a pretty stready turnover of books so I am confident that this is a worthwhile addition to our Parish.
